I recently bought a Chromecast and wanted to set it up to work with my iPhone. I thought it would be easy: turn it on, download the app, and that's it. But it turned out that you not only need to connect the devices, but also figure out which app is best to use. At first, I didn't understand why the phone "doesn't see" it. In the end, I spent a couple of hours fiddling around, but still didn't get the result. Can anyone explain step by step what exactly to do? Maybe I missed something?

I'm always surprised by how complicated Apple is with third-party integration. Chromecast is a really useful thing though. I use it more for streaming movies than screen mirroring. I think the iPhone can be adapted for everything if you figure it out.
I also struggled with the setup for a long time at one time, until I found a normal approach. In short: you need to connect Chromecast to Wi-Fi, then install one of the suitable applications on your iPhone via the App Store. I recommend looking at the best Chromecast app for iPhone, the steps are described in detail there. I managed to set everything up exactly according to this instruction. And also - check that the phone and Chromecast are definitely on the same network. At first, nothing worked for me because of this.
